The Ins and Out of How we Disinfect and Sanitize
What is the New Clean DFW Disinfecting Process?
We follow the following steps to ensure proper disinfection and continued protection of your space.
Hand wiping: We use microfiber cloths first to wipe down all hard surfaces before disinfection. While microfiber cloths do not kill germs or bacteria, they are very efficient at removing germs and bacteria from surfaces, making the next disinfection more efficient.
Disinfection: After hand wiping all surfaces, we will begin our disinfection process utilizing electrostatic technology to apply Vital Oxide to all touch-points, hard and porous surfaces. We use commercial grade Electrostatic backpacks, which provide an efficient but generous amount of disinfectant to ensure products remain wet on the surface for appropriate contact time to kill viruses and bacteria.
Protection: Unlike most disinfection companies who only disinfect. New Clean DFW provides the option of an additional service with a product called surface guard 90. This product will shield surfaces from new virus and bacteria growth for up to 90 days!
Do I need to leave my home while being disinfected?
Our disinfection products are safe for people, pets, and plants. You can remain in your home while we disinfect. We tend to work from top to bottom and ask you and your loved ones to stay on the opposite side of the actively disinfecting areas.
What products do you use, and are they safe for people, pets, and plants?
Yes and no. For the disinfection step, we use Vital Oxide. Vital Oxide is EPA-NList products that disinfect in under 6 minutes. It also works on non-porous surfaces, including bedding, rugs, and sofas. In the protection step, we use Surface Guard 90 that works with nanotechnology to protect hard-surfaces from new bacteria or viruses to attach. Both the Vital Oxide and Surface Guard 90 are safe for you, your loved ones, furry babies, and team members.
The U/VC Technology requires the space to be empty for the service duration, approximately 20 minutes per room.
What would be the process when the technician arrives?
Once the technician arrives, he/she will enter your space with full PPE for protection.
Step One, we use a state-of-the-art Electrostatic Backpack Sprayer/Fogger combined with our non-toxic EPA Registered Disinfectant, Sanitizer & Cleaner for use against SARS-Cov-2 chemical product Vital Oxide.
Step Two we include the ULV Fog spray machine for high contact touch areas in combination with our SURFACE GUARD 90. Both products are safe to use in your home, restaurants, hospitals, offices, churches, schools, daycare centers, and many more places. SURFACE GUARD 90 will give your space for up to 90-day continuous protection by preventing microbes' growth and spreading.
What is contact time, and why is it important when disinfecting?
Contact time is the amount of time a disinfectant must remain wet on a surface in order to disinfect properly. This information can easily be found on all disinfectants' label and can vary depending on the product.
Why all that PPE?
Proper Personal protective equipment is a critical component in our commitment to our customers' and technicians' overall safety. We pride ourselves on utilizing the right tools for the job, and it starts with the proper wear. Our technicians wear gloves, a full Tyvek suit with hoodie, mask, eye/face protection, and booties.
Why hand wipe before disinfecting?
Hand wiping surfaces before disinfection helps by significantly reducing germ count. While microfiber cloths do not kill germs, they are very good at removing them. They also help to pick up dirt or grime, making the surface clean and prime for disinfection.
How long before I can re-enter my home?
We will leave all windows open to air out your home. We suggest a 10 minute wait time before entering a that has just been disinfected.
What to do after the services, and how long will it last?
Disinfecting your space will sterilize an already cleaned area, leaving it free from viruses pathogens. However, it will not remain disinfected for an extended period, as viruses (SARS-CoV-2, H1N1, flu, etc.) and pathogens will be transported into the home or business by people carrying them – even if they are not infected themselves.
Continue to follow the CDC guidelines and following best practices in cleanliness and sanitizing.
Routine sanitization helps prevent the spread of viruses and pathogens while protecting your home and business. Our recurring disinfecting service plan allows us to schedule a monthly or quarterly service and significantly reduce the price. This way, you can keep your space safe and healthy and save on the economics!
